		<description>I agree with abbynormal.  Second and third generation biofuels are coming online very quickly.  Corn-ethanol is just a stepping stone.  

Don't look for a huge decrease in food prices if/when corn prices decrease, however.  Our highly processed/transported diets are only marginally affected by grain prices, which in turn are only partially affected by ethanol.</description>

		<description>Brazil is having the biggest impact on the corn crisis, imo. Need not worry though, free market economics will work this out. Corn is being used as a fuel chiefly because it is a cheap fuel (like it has been a cheap food). As demand for it (as food or fuel) increases, so will prices, therefore driving down demand and prices with it.

There's no all-in-one solution to today's energy crisis' like some would have us believe. Alternative fuels, demand side solutions, government subsidies, new technology - they will all eventually get us out of the mild strain we're currently experiencing. BTW, look for oil to plummet Septemer-October'ish.</description>
